Zionism at its core is self-determination for Jewish people on ancestral land. No asterisk for oppression of Palestinian people. You can oppose the workings of the Israeli government without the absurd gesture of trying to erase the history of Jews in Israel. We are an ETHNOreligion; if Jews (who haven't converted) take DNA tests, we possess unique ancestry that is most commonly related to... Palestinians! Even if we lived for generations in Europe because of violent imperialist invasions such as Roman and Arab empires that forced us into exile; the vast evidence of our living on the margins and experiencing persecution in virtually every place we wandered into after being bereft of our home is evidence of our non-belonging to any other place (which is indeed a feeling that many of those who have been displaced and stateless will deeply feel, including Palestinians).

There are Jews who have been in Israel continuously for thousands of years, albeit in terrible conditions. Liberation for Jews and Palestinians is not mutually exclusive. Records of Jewish ancestry and history and culture rooted in Israel are thousands of years old and there are legions of them; our entire faith is an ode to our home in Israel. For thousands of years, wherever we are in the world, still we pray for a return home. You don't get to practice some revisionist history because of some attachment to hating Jews or some false idea that all Jews are white because you've met some who upset you. Check yourself, you sound like a fool. Are you Jewish? If not, are you listening to any Jews who don't validate your perspective? Because whether you like it or not boo, over 90% of us are Zionists. And again, the vast majority of us are pained over how Palestinian people are being forced to live and feel the need for urgent change. Sometimes things are complicated and nuanced and not just binary--it requires using other parts of your brain other than just rage or dismissal but it's really quite fulfilling and I highly recommend it!

By the way, if you don't like nasty responses, try starting off with questions rather than just saying "nonsense" to what someone else has written, and then they won't condescend to you like you're too childish to come up with any meaningful or intellectual words worth responding to with respect.
