Yeeeeeeeeessss I'm sick of seeing this shit normalized in "credible" media outlets (lol) like BBC/The Guardian/Toronto Star/NYT and so so many more. This is bullshit.

Also, there's just so much irony in the fact that a lot of trans people will avoid doctors because of fears of being discriminated against/ostracized/terrorized and are likely to be living at poverty levels because of the extant legality of discriminating against trans people in the workplace, so then these same folks who are ENRAGED at the prospect of making the medical system more inclusive get their rage masturbation fed even more when trans people with public health benefits have to come in later for more expensive/ end of life care and procedures than the preventive treatments they should've been able to get (at much lower cost!) if the sytem was more fucking inclusive.

But bigots don't like bigger picture or rationality, they like out of context rage bursts that feed "THEY'RE COMING FOR ME" narratives of delusion so they can feel like they have some militant purpose in life.

Thanks for writing this! Hypocritical indeed. Let's all normalize calling out how fucking terrible these newspapers are and that they don't deserve for a second any "official" sticker of "objective journalism" or "journalism with integrity."
