This is untrue. Zionism as the mere concept of Jewish self-determination on indigenous/ancestral land has been conceptually existent since Jews were violently and forcibly expelled from our homeland. Our cultural/religious customs reaffirm this in countless ways-- I don't disagree with much of what you have written here, but it's simply untrue that people banished from their homelands (in which they have deep, meaningful roots) wouldn't collectively want to or intend to return home until "Romantic" era thinking goaded them into such.
Not only does this whitewash Jews and assume Israel as a fundamentally Ashkenazi Jewish entity (most of Israel is not Ashkenazi), but it erases the thousands of Jews who actually did manage to stay in Israel for the many years following expulsion in horrible circumstances.
Also, with regards to "The Squad," I will say that AOC and the likes have been liking and retweeting things that say "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," which historically refers to the expulsion of all Jews from a Muslim/Arab state of Palestine. Even if the phrase has been "reclaimed," it still holds these roots for literally dozens of years, and I don't think most people (including Squad) have reeeally considered what would happened to Jewish people if there was a one-state solution. Furthermore, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar have been spreading misinformation about the conflict, and I don't think it's unfair to say they've said some at the very least borderline antisemitic things. After all, both of them have shared cartoons from the annual *National Holocaust Cartoon Contest* in Iran showing one of them being stifled by Trump and Israel (and refused to apologize for it). I can give more recent examples if you'd like. But I guess I'm wondering, since I myself am a leftist and former avid fan of the Squad up until recent events, if it's possible that these women with largely "good" politics can also be culpable for some semblance of antisemitism? After all, even some QAnon folx or far-right republicans denounce extreme/overt racism, even when the majority of their words and actions perpetuate it. Is it not at all possible, in spite of a few seemingly hollow denouncements of overt antisemitism amidst a sea of posting about misinformation and incredibly biased/narrow posting about the conflict that their denouncements might be rendered a bit inconsequential or shallow?
