Thank you so much for sharing this perspective! I really appreciate the comparison with reproduction in nature. Of course, we eat animals and plants, and even animals and plants eat animals and plants, at every phase of their existence. But it's an interesting lens for thinking about aliveness and also simply the very intuitive byproducts of reproduction!
And in my opinion, as long as healthcare extends to ethical grey areas that correspond to the law (such as in matters that could be considered murder, for example), then I firmly believe there is still intuitive cause for at least some government oversight. That is true of things like assisted suicide as much as certain aspects of abortion.
