Thank you Rachel!!! <3 YES limes are a wonderful adjustment--limes are actually cooling whereas lemons are heating, but they still have the same digestive benefits and vitamin C benefits and refreshing/invigorating qualities that are nice for the mornings. I think if you're already feeling any bit overheated (or in a way just to counter more of the heating quality of the coffee you love), limes are a wonderful alternative to lemons in the morning. Many pitta people, including my nutrition teacher choose to do this! And you can always add a bit of honey as she does as well to help clear away the gunk and bring a little sweetness to balance out the acidity too if that sounds nice. Just be sure to wait a few seconds after pouring boiling water to add lime juice (or honey) because neither should be boiled :)
