Oof yes, and it was right after 10/7 so my emotional tolerance was particularly low. But some of the trolls on Medium... yikes. It was giving Twitter a run for its money!

Someone I used to work with was also harassing me and writing vitriol on all my articles (and it's annoying to manually hide and report every comment) after I posted a picture of the Bibas baby and toddler on FB saying "bring them home." In her own words, she felt they were "lucky to be alive, unlike Palestinian children" and spent several hours spamming my Medium with disgusting comments (and indicated that she would continue doing so indefinitely), so I turned commenting on many of my articles off.

It's weirdly complicated to turn off comments - you have to go to the public article page (NOT on the app, must be done on mobile or desktop website, I believe), and then open the comments section. Then you click the three dots and hit "close discussion." I don't think they want you to close the discussion haha probably not great for the algorithm!
