oh my gooooood this was so good and refreshing to read! You said what I hadn't even realized I was feeling but it makes so much damn sense and it also makes sense as to why these publications (esp you NYT) are so neoliberal in the often egregious content they post. Today I saw back-to-back headlines in New York Times about how to escape your car in a flood and $1.4 million cabins available to buy in Finland and I thought "why tf do I keep reading this crap" but I also realized I'm not paying for it :)
