Love and tenderness are really important in getting people out of cult situations that they’ve sought out (often owing to some dearth of that); but in the case of a social justice-y framework where everything is also filtered through a lens of indignant, smug social justice that makes the love impenetrable, sometimes a lil slappy slap across the face and a “snap out of it, bih” have to suffice
