I'm not deliberately choosing anything--this is a distinction that has always been drawn in reference to things like this that happen in the aftermath of war. Are you familiar with the Oslo Accords? Israel is undoubtedly violating human rights in Gaza and the West Bank, but the same distinction that doesn't *necessitate* Israel to vaccinate citizens of the Territories (even though they obviously should) , the same provisions that allow Palestinians to choose Hamas as part of their leadership, is what makes this Territory absolutely not the *same* as Israel.

Israel is a Jewish state, yes, but most countries in the world are majority one religion and have other minorities (that they may or may not oppress--take India, for example). The idea that an ethnostate is only unethical when it happens in a Jewish place is absurd and fundamentally antisemitic. To assume that a Jewish state would inherently want to "cleanse" itself of all non-Jews is to make an assumption about Judaism that you don't position onto any Buddhist, Christian, or Muslim majority state, of which there are many. There is one Jewish state. This is it.

By the way, how on earth is this "whitewashing?"
