I totally get it, it's maddening and so insidious and omnipresent... I think it has a lot to do with academia and how journalism is being taught, but it's obviously a reflection of so many things :(

I'll say this much -- the way that NPR has jumped on this bandwagon has infuriated me, as they should not be receiving public funding while jeopardizing public safety when it comes to Jewish Americans.
