I hear you and believe it or not MOST zionists are pro-Palestinian liberation; having self-determination in indigenous Jewish homeland is not mutually exclusive with the same for Palestinian people. But one big difference here in how you’re framing this is that the “collateral damage” from people during BLM marches destroying property is still property, whereas human life is affected through the massive and frightening lift in hate crimes against Jews these past weeks, clearly incited or at the very least encouraged by a lot of the rhetoric coming from this “movement” right now. We aren’t collateral damage or property — were human beings with huge ancestral and very recent/constant trauma and we have good reason to be afraid. Just think that needs to be clarified because I’ve heard things from people in the movement suggesting that the worst thing about these antisemitic “outliers” in the pro-Palestine movement are how they undermine the “true” values of the movement while ignoring the fact that the worst part of that is *actually* that there are human beings whose lives are affected by this and are literally living in terror because of the proliferation of that shit. And then for “social justice” loving people to absolutely refuse to even acknowledge it… it’s hard and lonely and scary.
