Hey Steve, I specifically did mention poverty in here--I don't need to mention "poor whites" because it affects poor people of every ethnicity, including poor white people.
As far as those massage parlor shootings go, both parlors were operated by predominantly Asian people. That doesn't make the deaths of non-Asian people any less tragic, but the choice for the perpetrator to choose Asian-owned and operated parlors, even if they were sex work fronts and he had sick behaviors/feelings about sex work, seems very clearly targeted towards Asian people--especially when you consider the demographics of Atlanta (you really don't think that there are white or Black-operated sex work places?).
I'm not really sure why it bothers you that people were protesting anti-Asian hate when random Asian people have been attacked and killed and blamed en masse for the rise of COVID. I'm just not seeing that as media manipulation here (even if the media distorts many things and profits off of pretty much everything in gross ways).
